UnityPoint Health – Eyerly Ball, the leader in community-based mental health services in Central Iowa, has received an anonymous $1 million gift that establishes the organization’s first-ever endowment. The gift comes on the heels of Eyerly Ball’s successful One Place for Care campaign and the recent opening of its new, centralized facility this past April.
Vermillion Medical Clinic Donates to Local Community Connection Center
Vermillion Medical Clinic physician, Dr. Matthew Krell, and other clinic providers, recently presented a check to the Community Connection Center for $1000. The donation was to address the concern about food insecurity in the area by helping the Vermillion Food Pantry that is available through the Connection Center. Dr. Krell, pediatrician at Vermillion Medical Clinic, has a special interest in addressing the food insecurity that many families in Vermillion face.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced a historic $50 billion investment through the Rural Health Transformation Program, aimed at strengthening health care delivery in rural communities across all 50 states. As part of this initiative, Iowa will receive $209,040,064 in fiscal year 2026, ranking 18th in the total funding amount compared to other states for this year.

UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Outpatient Therapy Services has received an $11,735 grant from Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa to fund the purchase and installation of an ADA-compliant, height-adjustable adult-sized changing table designed to support the children and young adults served through outpatient rehabilitation. The new equipment addresses a longstanding need for a safe, dignified space for toileting and hygiene support during therapy sessions.
