Hope for the Holidays Memorial Service - Prairie Lakes Hospice invites you to our "Hope for the Holidays" Memorial Service on Thursday, December 8th from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the Prairie Lakes Chapel. Pastor Scott Dempster, Chaplain at Jenkin's Living Center in Watertown, will offer an invocation to help those in attendance find hope and peace during this Holiday season. Cancer Support Group - Prairie Lakes Healthcare System offers an ongoing monthly cancer support group that is open to those living with cancer, those who’ve survived cancer, and caregivers. Meetings include a speaker presentation and an opportunity to meet others in similar situations. This group meets on the third Tuesday of every month (subject to change for holidays). Your Total Joint Journey – This free educational class is for patients considering or scheduled for total joint replacement surgery. Each attendee will receive an informational booklet to take home as well as time to ask any questions. Pathway Through Grief – This grief support group is a place where individuals who are grieving the death of loved one can find comfort, support, and hope. At these meetings, informal presentations and roundtable discussions are used to support those grieving and offer hope for their future. Childbirth Class Series - Prepare for your baby! Prairie Lakes Healthcare System helps to make the birthing experience happy and memorable for everyone involved. This educational three-class series is designed to prepare the expectant mother and her support person for labor and delivery. Classes are held in the MOB in the Lower Level at Prairie Lakes Healthcare System. Youth Athlete Clinic - This Clinic is held weekly on Wednesdays from 7:30 am to 8:15 am at the Watertown Middle School Weight Room. Elementary through high school-aged students can receive a free athletic screening for orthopedic injuries or concerns. Parents or guardians simply walk in with their child during clinic hours, no appointments are necessary. Severe sports injuries, such as a head injury or bone fracture, should be seen by the ER immediately.
