Columbus Community Hospital Welcomes New Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Columbus Community Hospital welcomes Brittany Bertram as a new psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

Bertram received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Nebraska Methodist College in Omaha, Nebraska, before receiving her Master of Science in Nursing at Clarkson College in Omaha. She has worked in the medical field for almost a decade as a technician, an ICU registered nurse and, most recently, a clinic nurse in Albion.

“Brittany is extremely passionate about her work and enjoys connecting with patients and families, meeting them where they are in their journey,” said Korie Whitmore, director of clinics at Columbus Community Hospital. “She loves listening to their stories and experiences and making a positive difference in their daily lives.”

Bertram is certified in basic life support and pediatric advanced life support and as a trauma nurse.

“Through Brittany’s education and unique clinical training, she has gained extensive knowledge and experiences in psychotherapy and psychopharmacological interventions to treat patients with mental health issues successfully,” said Whitmore. “She is a welcome addition to the team and will positively influence the community.”

Bertram volunteers at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and is an active member of the United Methodist Church in Fullerton, Nebraska.
