Mary Lanning Healthcare Donates to Nebraska Fire Relief Efforts

Mary Lanning Healthcare and its employees joined in a quick, one-week effort to send supplies and money to families and firefighters affected by Nebraska wildfires that have been raging out of control for the past few weeks.

Many of the fires, which are reported to be the largest in state history, are now mostly contained but several Nebraskans have been affected.

As a result of the MLH effort, many items were donated. In addition, employees were given the option to donate through payroll deduction.

At noon Friday, an American Red Cross team picked up the items for distribution to areas affected by the fires. Donated items included:

  • 8,966 baby wipes

  • 351 eye drops

  • 1,972 masks

  • 4,351 lip balms

  • 512 diapers

  • $200 in cash donations

Danelle Hayes, Community Disaster Program Manager for the American Red Cross of Nebraska/ Iowa, was thankful for the donations.

“We can’t thank Mary Lanning Healthcare enough for your donations and help for our communities impacted by the wildfires,” she said. “We are so thankful for your partnership and collaboration.”
