Columbus Community Hospital Hosts Nebraska Insurance Roadshow

Columbus Community Hospital invites community members to participate in a special insurance educational session presented in collaboration with the Nebraska Department of Insurance (NDOI), the Nebraska Hospital Association and the Nebraska Rural Health Association.

The event takes place on Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 11 a.m.-noon in the Platte and Prairie conference rooms at the hospital.

Experts from the NDOI will discuss topics such as the basics of Medicare, define the difference between original Medicare and Medicare Advantage, recap changes in Nebraska impacting people with Medicare, and go over insurance plans made possible through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). They will also discuss fraud prevention and what people should consider during open enrollment.

Following the presentation, they will answer questions from audience members.

The Nebraska Department of Insurance understands that health insurance is essential when people are making decisions about health coverage. During this session, NDOI representatives hope individuals will be able to navigate health insurance options with more confidence.

Continuing Education (CE) credits will be available for insurance agents who sign in and attend this presentation.

Participants should register for the event by Wednesday, Sept. 2, by calling 402-562-3380 or emailing Mandy Loeffler at mrloeffler@columbushosp.org.
