Dr. Kip Anderson Joins Columbus Community Hospital Board

Columbus Community Hospital welcomed Dr. Kip Anderson to its board of directors as of Aug. 1, 2026.

Anderson is a family practice physician at Columbus Family Practice. He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha and completed his family medicine residency at Waukesha Memorial Hospital in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

As a family practice doctor, Anderson treats patients of all ages and a wide variety of conditions. A Columbus native, he returned to live and work in Columbus more than 29 years ago after graduating from medical school with his wife, Dr. Deborah Anderson. Both Andersons say they love Nebraska and found Columbus to be the perfect-sized town in which to live and practice medicine.

“Dr. Anderson has been a respected physician leader and advocate for quality healthcare in our community for many years,” said Michael T. Hansen, president and chief executive officer of the hospital. “His experience, thoughtful perspective and commitment to our mission will strengthen our board as we continue to enhance the health and well-being of the patients and communities we serve.”

Sarah Pillen, who chairs the hospital’s board of directors, said she is pleased to welcome Dr. Anderson as a new member.

“Dr. Anderson brings a deep commitment to patient care, a strong understanding of our community's healthcare needs, and a thoughtful leadership perspective that will be valuable as we continue advancing CCH's mission,” Pillen said.

In his free time, Anderson enjoys fishing, gardening and spending time at his family’s cabin. He and his wife are both scuba divers and travel to warm and sunny places in the winter.
