CHI Health Announces Mary Williams as New Regional VP of Marketing and Communications for Central Region
Mary Williams
CHI Health, a member of CommonSpirit Health, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Williams as Region Vice President of Marketing and Communications for its Central Region. The Central Region includes CHI Health hospitals in Nebraska, Iowa, North Dakota and Minnesota, along with Dignity Health facilities in Arizona and Nevada. This strategic addition to our leadership team strengthens our efforts to build a more integrated and effective marketing and communications function across this expansive and diverse region.
Williams brings 30 years of experience in journalism, communications and marketing to her new role. She first joined the organization as a consultant in 2009 and has since held several leadership positions, including Director of Public Relations, Director of Corporate Communications, and most recently, Director of Communications for the Central Region. Before entering health care, Mary worked as a broadcast journalist at KMTV, where she developed a deep passion for authentic storytelling - a skill that continues to guide her approach to marketing and communications.
“As a former journalist, Mary brings the heart of a storyteller to her work. She understands not just how to share information but how to connect our mission to the people we serve in powerful, human ways,” shares Adam Rice, System SVP and Chief Marketing Officer, CommonSpirit Health. “Her leadership will be instrumental in advancing our marketing and communications efforts across our region.”
Williams’ ability to build brand awareness, drive strategic growth and connect with both consumers and caregivers makes her uniquely suited to lead marketing and communication efforts across the Central Region.
“I’m honored to continue in this role and proud to serve the rich history of CHI Health and our broader Central Region,” said Williams. “This is an organization with deep roots in the communities we serve. I look forward to working alongside our teams to elevate the voices of our patients, providers and partners, and to build upon our strong brand.”
Williams earned her bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting from the University of Nebraska Omaha.
