Mary Lanning Healthcare Earns Recognition for Stroke and Diabetes Care
Mary Lanning Healthcare recently received multiple achievement awards from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association Get With The Guidelines® program.
MLH received the Get With the Guidelines® Rural Stroke 2025 Gold Award in addition to the Stroke GOLD PLUS with Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.
Hospitals must apply to the American Heart Association in order to participate in the Get with the Guidelines® program. The awards demonstrate that MLH is applying up-to-date, evidence-based treatments to improve patient care and outcomes.
The Get With The Guidelines® program aims to improve patient care by ensuring hospitals consistently follow the latest scientific guidelines for treating various cardiovascular conditions, including stroke.
Participating hospitals have seen better patient outcomes, fewer admissions and lower mortality rates.
“These awards are tangible evidence of the MLH care team’s hard work and commitment to saving lives,” said Andrew McCarty, MLH Stroke Coordinator. “Being honored for excellent patient care is great. But it is even more amazing to see how we are affecting the lives of our patients.”
