Boone County Health Center (BCHC) is pleased to announce that President and CEO Caleb Poore, MHA, has been elected to the Clarkson College Board of Directors. Poore, a Clarkson College alumnus, was officially welcomed to the Board at its September 21, 2026, meeting.

As a member of the Board, Poore will help provide leadership and strategic guidance to Clarkson College, supporting its mission of educating and preparing future healthcare professionals.

For Poore, the opportunity is especially meaningful as he returns to serve an institution that played a role in his own professional journey. His involvement also creates valuable opportunities to strengthen relationships between healthcare education and rural healthcare organizations like BCHC.

“Serving on the Clarkson College Board is a great opportunity to give back to an institution that helped shape my career,” said Poore. “I also see tremendous value in connecting healthcare education with the needs of rural communities. Building those relationships is important as we work to recruit and retain talented healthcare professionals for the future.”

Poore’s appointment provides an opportunity to further strengthen BCHC’s connections with future healthcare professionals, increase awareness of career opportunities in rural healthcare and encourage students to consider practicing in communities like Albion. These relationships can also support future clinical training opportunities and help build a strong healthcare workforce.

“We are proud of Caleb’s leadership and his commitment to advancing healthcare, both locally and through his service to Clarkson College,” said BCHC Board Chair Paul Groeteke.

Clarkson College, located in Omaha, Nebraska, offers educational programs focused on preparing students for careers in healthcare.
