Veterans Honored At ARTisan Skin And Laser Center’s 10th Annual Event, Hosted By Dr. Alison R. Tendler
On Monday, September 11th, over 250 people gathered downtown Sioux Falls at Maribella Ristorante to celebrate ARTisan Skin and Laser Center’s 10th Annual Client Appreciation Event. Individuals gathered to celebrate skin health, self-care, confidence, and community. Additionally, the event promoted a gift card donation drive to give back to the Veterans Community Project, a nonprofit organization that provides housing and walk-in support services for everyone who took the oath to serve America. The group was able to raise over $2,500 in gift cards, in addition to 25 free haircuts for the Veterans Community Project.
When asked why the Veterans Community Project, Dr. Tendler answered, “Every year, we host our client appreciation event on the second Monday of September, giving me an opportunity to honor my valued clients for their unwavering support. We also always choose a nonprofit partner that matches our mission of empowering citizens in our community to "see the world better and see themselves better". With this year's event falling on Monday, September 11th, I knew I wanted to give back and honor those who have served our country and our communities. I thought, what better fit than the Veterans Community Project, to honor our Sioux Falls Veterans.”
Executive Director Eric Gage and Community Engagement Coordinator Kaeyln Giefer were elated when ARTisan Skin and Laser Center contacted the group to be this year’s nonprofit partner for their annual event. Gage stated, “Partnerships with great organizations like this help greatly with our mission. The gift cards that we received will give us the ability to aid the veterans in our community in a variety of ways.”
“It’s thrilling knowing that these gift cards and haircuts will make a major impact for the Veterans living in our Sioux Falls community,” said Dr. Tendler. “I’m looking forward to seeing the progress the Veterans Community Project makes and will continue to support their mission.”
