Urology Specialists Expands Team with the Addition of Dr. Edman and Dr. Larson for Superior Care

Urology Specialists is thrilled to announce the addition of two new Urologists to our team! Together, these physicians will enhance our commitment to providing exceptional care and support to the community. Please meet Dr. J Spencer Edman and Dr. Matthew Larson!

Dr. J. Spencer Edman was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD attending O’Gorman High School. He then went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-Professional Studies with a minor in Energy Studies at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. Dr. Edman next returned to South Dakota and received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine in Vermillion, SD before leaving to complete his Urology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. He joined the Urology Specialists team in 2024 and sees patients in Sioux Falls, SD and Marshall, MN. In his free time, Dr. Edman enjoys traveling, running, skiing, and spending time with family.

Dr. Matthew Larson grew up in Brandon, South Dakota. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Augustana College and went on to receive his Medical Degree from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. Dr. Larson completed his residency at the University of Kansas Health Systems in Kansas City before joining Urology Specialists in 2024. Dr. Larson sees patients in Sioux Falls, Madison SD, and Slayton, MN. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, barbecue, and hiking.
