LifeScape DSP Honored with 2024 Excellence in Service Award

LifeScape is thrilled to announce that Direct Support Professional, David Doe, has been honored as this year’s Simply the Best Excellence in Service Award recipient. This prestigious award recognizes Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) across South Dakota who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to their role, going above and beyond job expectations to enhance the quality of life for the people they support, while earning the respect of both their colleagues and those they serve.

David began his career at LifeScape as a DSP in March 2023 and was quickly promoted to Lead Direct Support Professional just a few months later. "David is a dedicated employee and a tremendous asset to LifeScape. His compassion and commitment shine through in his work, making a significant difference in the well-being of so many individuals," says Ben Jacobs, Director of Adult Residential Services at LifeScape. "David consistently strives to meet the physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional needs of those he supports."

David was selected from a field of outstanding nominees from across South Dakota, including eight nominees from LifeScape: Paige Billmeyer, Selam Tekle, Elijah Yuek, Maycee Guyer, Shannon Wiltgen, Britney Epperson, Madison Zabel, and Sarah Sundermann. This marks the second consecutive year that a LifeScape employee has won the Simply the Best Excellence in Service Award. "We are truly fortunate to have so many wonderful direct support team members who go above and beyond every day to support people with disabilities here at LifeScape," adds Jacobs.
