UnityPoint Health–Sioux City Names New Vice President of Operations
Mary Olhausen, MSN, ARNP-C
UnityPoint Health – Sioux City is pleased to announce Mary Olhausen, MSN, ARNP-C as their vice president of operations, effective March 9, 2026. Olhausen has been with UnityPoint Health since 2021, where she served as the director of women’s and children’s services and quality.
“I am very excited to see Mary in this new role,” said Jane Arnold, UnityPoint Health - Sioux City President. “She has strong, operational expertise, clinical background and a collaborative leadership approach. I look forward to working with her to continue our work to advance patient care and operational excellence.”
Olhausen’s time as director of women’s and children’s services includes successfully leading the Perinatal State Survey, resulting in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) designation advancing from Level II to Level III, a significant achievement for patients, families and team members.
Before joining UnityPoint Health, Olhausen served three years as intensive care unit (ICU) manager at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center. She also spent seven years at The Center for Neurosciences, Orthopedics, and Spine (CNOS) as a nurse practitioner and clinical director. In this role, she served as the primary liaison between physicians, hospitals and external partners and led coordinated care across the continuum.

In her new role, Olhausen will work with key departments and physician leadership groups to maintain operations of both UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s and UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s – Downtown.
