Ty Eschenbaum Foundation Contributes $100,000 to Make-A-Wish® South Dakota & Montana on World Wish Day
On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, Ty Eschenbaum made a $100,000 donation to Make-A-Wish® South Dakota & Montana on behalf of his non-profit, the Ty Eschenbaum Foundation (TEF).
“There’s no greater joy than being able to give back in a way that brings hope to kids and families facing critical illnesses,” said Ty Eschenbaum, founder of the Ty Eschenbaum Foundation. “This is more than a donation—it’s a tribute to my late girlfriend, Autumn Jungwirth, whose compassion guides our mission to be a beacon of light to those who need it most. We’re proud to stand with Make-A-Wish® and the powerful impact they make every single day.”
Tuesday’s donation was made during a check presentation at the Make-A-Wish® South Dakota & Montana headquarters in Sioux Falls on the 45th anniversary of World Wish Day. This donation marks $315,000 TEF has donated to Make-A-Wish® South Dakota & Montana in the last four years.
“Ty’s support comes from the most authentic place of empathy and compassion,” said Sue Salter, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish South Dakota & Montana. “As a wish alum himself who battled cancer as a teen, Ty strives to touch the lives of Wish kids beyond donating dollars, although his generosity has a profound impact on our organization’s ability to grant more life-changing wishes.”
In addition to the donation, The Ty Eschenbaum Foundation revealed another surprise at Tuesday’s gathering. Wish Kid Bella, who attended the announcement with her family, learned her Wish to go to Hawaii will take place on her 10th birthday next month — made possible by the Ty Eschenbaum Foundation!
“Ty’s unique style of being involved with the kids his foundation supports allows Wish kids to witness an inspiring role model and a great man who not only believes in them, but truly believes that every challenge in life can be an opportunity to bring hope and joy to others,” said Salter. “That’s a beautiful and rare legacy we celebrate every day, and especially on World Wish Day, the anniversary of the wish 45 years ago that created a world-wide movement to grant wishes to kids with critical illnesses.”
