South Dakota’s community health centers are being celebrated August 3- 9 during National Health Center Week (NHCW), recognizing their vital role in providing high quality, affordable health care to people across the state. This year’s theme, “From Community Roots to a Healthier Tomorrow,” honors how health centers strengthen communities through care, connection, and compassion.

Every August, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) sponsors National Health Center Week (NHCW) to celebrate and increase awareness of America’s 1,400 Community Health Centers (CHCs).
Nebraska Department of Health Services Recognizes National Health Center Week
National Health Center Week (August 7–13) is an annual celebration to raise awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers over the past five decades. DHHS recognizes the dedicated community health center staff, board members, and patients across the state and their vital role in shaping the past, present, and future of Nebraska’s health care system.
