St. Luke’s College Faculty Member Appointed to Serve on State of Iowa Board of Respiratory Care and Polysomnography

St. Luke’s College Respiratory Care Program Director, Cindy Duncan has been appointed to serve on the Board of Respiratory Care and Polysomnography for the state of Iowa. Duncan applied to serve on the board and was chosen by Governor Reynolds to represent respiratory care professionals in western Iowa.

“We are so thrilled that Cindy was chosen for this appointment,” says St. Luke’s College President, Kendra Ericson, PhD, RN. “This is a testament to Cindy’s commitment to excellence in the field of respiratory care. She is a role model to students and peers alike and will be such an asset to this board.”

Duncan has been a strong advocate for the Respiratory Care profession and has represented her peers in multiple capacities for the Iowa Society for Respiratory Care. She has been educating future generations of Respiratory Care professionals for nearly 19 years.

“I’m honored to have been chosen to serve on this board,” says Duncan. “I’m excited to continue advocating for patient safety and hope to provide the state of Iowa with competent Respiratory Care Practitioners.”

Duncan’s three-year appointment will begin in May of 2022.
