Sanford Health to Hold Doc Talk in Minot on Understanding Heart Function and Circulation

Medical experts from the Sanford Bismarck region will host a Doc Talk this month on understanding heart function and circulation.

Tuesday, Apr. 15 – Grand Hotel in Minot

4:30 p.m. - Free blood pressure testing and light appetizers

5 p.m. - Presentation

Nayan Desai, M.D., interventional cardiologist, will speak on how the heart and circulation work together and what happens when this vital system faces challenges. Dr. Desai will cover the signs, causes and latest treatments for heart conditions, along with tips to keep the heart and circulation strong. Attendees will leave with practical tips and valuable insights for themselves or when caring for a loved one.

Topics to be covered:

  1. Heart failure, amyloid and hypertrophic heart disease

  2. Coronary artery disease – blockages

  3. Atrial fibrillation and blood thinners

  4. Heart valve disease

  5. Peripheral circulation disease and varicose veins
