Sanford Children’s Partners with Non-Profit for Virtual Informational Session on Free Reconstructive Surgeries

Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls is partnering with Fresh Start Surgical Gifts to host a free virtual informational session. Fresh Start, a San Diego-based nonprofit, offers reconstructive surgeries to qualifying children who are underinsured or unable to afford their deductible or copay. This is at no cost to the families. During the informational event, families will learn about the surgical charity program and its criteria.

Children with physical malformations or deformities caused by birth defects, accidents, abuse or disease should consider attending. A full list of medical conditions that Fresh Start addresses can be found on the nonprofit’s website. This virtual session is just for informational purposes. General medical care will not be offered.

The virtual session will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on June 2nd. English and Spanish assistance will be available at the event. There are several in-person informational events happening in Sioux Falls throughout June 1st and 2nd as well.
