Recovery from a stroke does not end when a patient leaves the hospital. To help stroke survivors continue making progress and address challenges that can arise long after treatment, Sanford Bismarck offers its Stroke Comprehensive Treatment Clinic. The next clinic will be held Nov. 12, 2026.
Designed for individuals at any stage of recovery, the clinic provides a comprehensive evaluation by a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation specialists. Patients receive individualized recommendations and access to resources aimed at improving function, independence and overall well-being.
The Stroke Comprehensive Treatment Clinic evaluates a variety of concerns that can affect stroke survivors, including:
Mobility, balance and movement
Communication, swallowing and cognitive function
Vision and perception changes
Daily activities and independent living skills
Returning to work or school
Emotional health and adjustment after stroke
Because recovery needs can evolve over time, stroke survivors may benefit from an assessment months or even years after their stroke. The clinic is designed to help identify ongoing challenges, uncover new opportunities for improvement and connect patients with appropriate services and support.
