New Dermatology Clinic Coming To Columbus
For many years, people seeking skin care in the Columbus area had two choices: They could drive to a larger city to see a dermatologist or wait for one to visit Columbus.
That's why Columbus Community Hospital decided to open a new clinic to increase access to dermatologic care. Whether you're a farmer with a suspicious sun spot or a teenager struggling with acne, Columbus Dermatology Clinic is here to help.
At Columbus Dermatology Clinic, our providers want to help you feel comfortable in your skin. Regardless of whether your needs are simple or complex, you can be confident we will face them together.
"Columbus has been in need of a full-time dermatologist for a long time," said Nancy Rinkol, practice manager for Columbus Dermatology Clinic. "Your skin is your largest organ, so our mission is to help people regain control of their skin and receive the proper care they need. This clinic allows us to provide full-body dermatology services to our community without the need to travel to a larger city."
Dr. Dillon Clarey will serve as the clinic's dermatologist, diagnosing and treating conditions that affect the skin, hair and nails. Dr. Clarey is a Columbus native. He completed a four-year dermatology residency at the University of Nebraska Medicine (UNMC) Department of Dermatology in June 2023, after receiving his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at UNMC in 2018. His clinic will focus on medical and surgical dermatology, while also providing cosmetic services.
"I am excited to return to Columbus and provide dermatologic care to Columbus and the surrounding areas," Clarey said. "I am fresh out of residency and eager to get the practice up and running. Columbus is a very nice community with many good people, and I am honored to have the opportunity to provide care for them."
When you visit our clinic, our providers won't just check you for the symptoms you report. Instead, they will perform a thorough examination, asking relevant questions that might reveal a previously unnoticed condition. They will then use this information to make an accurate diagnosis and management plan.
