MercyOne Genesis Hospice Remembrance Tree Lighting Canceled Amid Weather Concerns

The MercyOne Genesis Hospice Remembrance Tree lighting has been canceled due to the heavy rain forecast during tonight’s ceremony.

The ceremony has been a tradition for over two decades to usher in the holiday season and celebrate the memories of loved ones who have passed. The tree-lighting also illuminates the region's continuing need for access to quality hospice.

Even though there won’t be a ceremony, the tree will be turned on at 5 p.m.

Anyone who wants to pick up the ornament they purchased may still do so from 5 - 6:30 p.m. at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, 2546 Tech Drive, Bettendorf. They can also pick it up during business hours this week.
