GOPEDS Kids Run Their Own Arconic Jr. Bix at MercyOne Genesis
The children who receive care at MercyOne Genesis Bettendorf Pediatric Therapy (GOPEDS) will once again run their version of the Arconic Jr. Bix in the clinic’s parking lot on Thursday, July 16, at 5 p.m.
The media coverage of this event has been outstanding in past years, and we hope to see you all again this year.
The children participating in the race are special needs clients of GOPEDS. They might have mobility challenges due to injury, autism, cerebral palsy or other conditions. The event offers an excellent opportunity for a positive story in the days leading up to the Quad-City Times Bix 7. Kids will receive official Jr. Bix medals and T-shirts. The Running Wild Elite Team members will also be there to support and cheer for the kids. Additionally, during the sensory-friendly race, people will cheer by blowing bubbles.
