Michelle Hopkins

The Mary Lanning Healthcare Executive Team recently welcomed a long-time MLH employee to the role of Vice President of Human Resources.

Michelle Hopkins, GBA, transitioned to her new position on April 1 after serving as Director of Human Resources.

Hopkins began her career in 2008 when she enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard as a Human Resources Specialist. She worked in a variety of positions, including HR Assistant, Human Resources Sergeant and Financial Advisor before coming to MLH in 2013. Since then, she has worked as

Compensation and Benefits Specialist, Employee Benefits Administrator and Director of

Human Resources.

“The opportunity to support this organization, providing exceptional healthcare to this community, truly is an honor,” Hopkins said. “The world-class employees of Mary Lanning have been, and always will be, my priority. I’m ready to help move the needle in the right direction together.”

She has received her Group Benefit Associate (GBA) designation and plans to receive her Senior

Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certificate in May.

Her areas of expertise include employee and executive compensation, group benefit plan design, employee relations and HR compliance. As Human Resources Vice President, she will oversee the departments of Human Resources, Wellness, Education, Employee Health, the PAC2 Center and Public Relations & Marketing Services.

Hopkins said she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jimmy, and daughter Hannah. They spend time with close family and work on home renovations.
