Local Walmart and Sam’s Club Associates, Customers and Members Raise $109,000 for UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s

From June 9 to July 6, Walmart and Sam's Club joined forces  to spark positive change for children's health at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s through  Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals). Walmart and Sam’s Club associates at 10 locations across the Siouxland region held various in store fundraising activities and asked customers and members at the register to help kids live  better. Collectively, they rallied together to raise over $109,000 to benefit UnityPoint Health – St.

Luke’s Children’s Miracle Network. The 10 Siouxland locations include stores located in Norfolk,  NE; South Sioux City, NE; Sioux City, IA; Le Mars, IA; Sioux Center, IA; Storm Lake, IA;  Spencer, IA; and Spirit Lake, IA.

“At UnityPoint Health St. Luke’s, we are dedicated to providing the very best care for children  and families in our community," says Stacey Selk, Director of UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s  Children’s Miracle Network. "The generous support of Walmart and Sam's Club, and their  customers and members, allows us to continue providing this essential care. These funds are  critical to helping our patients receive the treatments and support they need today, so they can  live long and healthy lives.”

Walmart and Sam's Club's dedication to children's health is unwavering. Since 1987, their  partnership has generated over $1 billion in support of children's hospitals nationwide. Walmart  and Sam's Club funds impact each of the 170 Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, which treat  one in 10 children across North America. Hospitals use the funds based on what they need  most — typically providing lifesaving equipment and research, supporting top therapy programs, and providing charitable care.
