The Lakes Regional Healthcare (LRH) Auxiliary is once again inviting the community to honor or remember someone special through its annual Tree of Love ornament sale. Hand-painted, heart-shaped wooden ornaments are available now for $5 each, with proceeds funding scholarships for area students pursuing careers in healthcare.
Each ornament purchased represents one light on the Tree of Love in the hospital’s east courtyard. The tree will glow each evening from Thanksgiving through Christmas, a visible reminder of the people our community holds dear.
“Every heart on the Tree of Love carries a story of a parent, a friend, a neighbor, or someone else who is special and made a difference,” said Beth Hagberg, LRH Auxiliary President. “And because every dollar supports scholarships, each light also helps a local student take the next step toward a healthcare career right here at home.”
Ornaments make a meaningful keepsake or gift and may be purchased in honor of a living loved one or in memory of someone who has passed.
How to purchase:
Where: Volunteer desk inside the LRH east entrance (door L, by the Surgery Center)
When: Weekdays, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
