Kendra Becker Wins 2026 Caring Kind Award

Congratulations to Kendra Becker, BSRT, (R), (M), (CT), (MR), Columbus Community Hospital's 2026 Caring Kind Award winner!

The Caring Kind Award is an honor from the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) that recognizes healthcare employees who go above and beyond to show patient compassion. These individuals demonstrate dedication to their job responsibilities and service excellence.

Each year, hospitals and healthcare systems select one person from their organization whom the NHA recognizes at its annual convention. The organization will honor Becker during the Caring Kind Awards Luncheon at the 2026 NHA Convention in October.

Becker is a radiologist technologist and clinical instructor in CCH's diagnostic imaging department. Denise Tomek, the department's director, nominated her for the award, saying that Becker's upbeat attitude and enthusiasm are infectious.

As the number of providers and surgical procedures at CCH grows, Becker has shown dedication to maintaining the department's high standards.

"Kendra is a hard worker and never complains that she is too busy," Tomek said. "She coaches future technologists by taking them under her wing and helps them to not only become great technologists, but great human beings as well."

When Becker is not working, she is a mother of two daughters and wife to her husband, Mike. She is also a parish religious education teacher at St. Anthony's Catholic Church and a member of the Duncan Volunteer Fire Department.
