Kearney Regional Medical Center Successfully Implants First Remote Pulmonary Pressure Monitor

Earlier this week Dr. Kevin Hall and the cardiac team successfully implanted the first CardioMEMS remote pulmonary pressure monitor at KRMC.

The CardioMEMS Heart Failure (HF) System offers real-time notification of patient changes and simple, convenient access to secure data for proactive, personalized patient management. It also provides patients with a heightened awareness of the factors affecting their health and a powerful sense of control.

The CardioMEMS HF System is proven to reduce heart failure hospitalizations and mortality, as well as improve quality of life for heart failure patients. The data provided by the CardioMEMS HF System allows for proactive changes in medical therapy to be made before heart failure symptoms appear. And the ability to individually set patient thresholds allows physicians to personalize and optimize care and medical management for each patient.
