Hospital Celebrates Employees During National Hospital Week
A hospital is more than a place where people go to heal - it also fosters good health and represents hope. From providing treatment and comfort to welcoming new life, hospitals play a central role in a healthy and optimistic community. That's the message Columbus Community Hospital wants to share with the community during National Hospital Week.
National Hospital Week highlights hospitals and health systems and the innovative ways they support and connect to their community. The theme of this year's recognition is "We are health care. Caring for patients; strengthening communities." This nationwide recognition also serves as an opportunity to thank everyone who works in the medical field.
"National Hospital Week, first and foremost, is a celebration of people," said Mike Hansen, president and CEO of the hospital. "We're extremely proud of each staff member, and recognize their important role in extending a sense of trust to our patients and communities."
CCH is a community-owned, not-for-profit hospital that is led by a local board of directors and guided by the mission to improve the health and wellness of the communities it serves. The hospital staff includes more than 950 employees and 65 active medical staff members representing 16 medical specialties. More than 320 volunteers also support the hospital.
"Integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence are the values we hold high," said Amy Blaser, vice president of physician relations and business development for the hospital. "They serve as a guide for us as we live out our hospital's mission and vision daily. We're very thankful for all our staff members, doctors and volunteers who work together to make our hospital the best place to receive care. It's an honor to celebrate them and their dedication to our values during National Hospital Week."
