UnityPoint Health – John Stoddard Cancer Center Enhances Cancer Care with New Medical Oncology and Hematology Clinic

UnityPoint Health – John Stoddard Cancer Center is expanding its  commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care with the opening of a new  medical oncology and hematology clinic along with expanded chemotherapy infusion  services this September. 

As a trusted leader in cancer care for more than 40 years and central Iowa’s leading  radiation oncology center, Stoddard Cancer Center has always prioritized exceptional,  whole-person care. This expansion improves access to expert cancer care and supports  the evolving needs of patients and families across central Iowa.

Opening Tuesday, September 2, the UnityPoint Health – John Stoddard Cancer Center  – Medical Oncology and Hematology Clinic will be located in John Stoddard Cancer  Center Suite 250, while chemotherapy infusion services will be expanded in Suite 430  within the current outpatient infusion center. The clinic will have a team of experienced  providers, including three medical oncologists and two nurse practitioners, ensuring  patients receive high-quality, compassionate care. Expanded chemotherapy infusion  services will be delivered by certified nurses who specialize in administering cancer  treatment with expertise and compassion.  

This expansion strengthens UnityPoint Health’s ability to provide a full-service,  comprehensive cancer center, offering cohesive, expert-driven care for patients at every  stage of their journey. From diagnostics to treatment and survivorship support, Stoddard  Cancer Center provides a seamless and exceptional experience. Stoddard Cancer  Center also includes a radiation oncology and brachytherapy center, a dedicated  inpatient unit at Iowa Methodist Medical Center and maintains close collaboration with 

Blank Children’s Hospital to provide pediatric cancer care and an Adolescent and  Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program.
