UnityPoint Clinic is proud to announce that Dr. Ashlesha Kaushik, a distinguished pediatric infectious disease specialist, has been elected as the new Vice President (President-Elect) of the Iowa American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). "Dr. Kaushik exemplifies the values of UnityPoint Health," says Jane Arnold, president, UnityPoint Health – Sioux City. "Her expertise and dedication make her an invaluable asset to Siouxland. We are fortunate to have her on our team.”
In addition to her leadership role, Dr. Kaushik has been recognized as one of five national subject matter experts for the newly released AAP Virtual Reality (VR) module on immunization confidence and infection prevention. This cutting-edge educational tool is designed to enhance healthcare professionals' knowledge and skills in these critical areas.

"I am deeply honored to represent UnityPoint Health at these prestigious forums and on the national stage," says Dr. Kaushik. "This is an incredible opportunity to advocate for the health and well-being of children across Iowa and beyond."
Dr. Kaushik's leadership and dedication to pediatric healthcare continue to make a significant impact on both the local and national levels.
