Essentia Health-32nd Avenue Clinic Welcomes General Surgery Specialist Dr. Dustin Nowotny

The Essentia Health-32nd Avenue Clinic is proud to welcome Dr. Dustin Nowotny, who specializes in general surgery.

“I chose Essentia Health because of the culture of the organization as well as the breadth of general surgery that I get to practice,” said Dr. Nowotny. “It is rare to have such a variety in a general surgery practice in today’s medical landscape.”

Dr. Nowotny received his medical degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. He completed his residency at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

“I chose surgery because I get to use my hands to provide treatment,” said Dr. Nowotny. “I also really enjoy the immediacy of effect that we get to experience. For example, someone comes in with acute appendicitis and I take their appendix out, and they no longer have that problem.”
