Dakota Vascular Broadens Care Access With New Fort Dodge Outreach Clinic
Dakota Vascular is expanding access to specialized vascular care through a new outreach partnership with UnityPoint Health - Fort Dodge. Beginning in June, this collaboration will provide expanded physician coverage to broaden access and scope of vascular services available.
The outreach will be based at UnityPoint Clinic Surgery in Fort Dodge and will include services from Dr. Patrick Kelly, a board-certified vascular surgeon with Dakota Vascular. Dr. Kelly will begin seeing patients at this location starting Wednesday, June 3, providing both vascular and endovascular surgical care.
Expanding access to additional vascular care in the region
Access to timely vascular care plays an important role in managing conditions that affect circulation, mobility, and overall health. Patients experiencing symptoms such as leg pain, poor circulation, or non-healing wounds often benefit from early evaluation and treatment.
Through this partnership, patients will have access to care for a range of vascular conditions, including peripheral artery disease (PAD), carotid artery disease, aortic conditions, chronic venous disease, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and dialysis access needs.
Dr. Kelly’s approach includes minimally invasive treatment options designed to support faster recovery and reduced discomfort for patients.
A collaborative, community-focused approach
This partnership reflects a shared commitment between Dakota Vascular and UnityPoint Health - Fort Dodge to meet the growing need for vascular services in North Central Iowa. By working together, both organizations aim to provide coordinated care that supports patients from diagnosis through treatment and recovery.
The outreach model allows patients to stay closer to home while still benefiting from the expertise of a specialized vascular team. It also strengthens collaboration with referring providers across the region, helping ensure continuity of care.
Scheduling and referral information
All scheduling for patients seen at the Fort Dodge outreach location will be coordinated through the UnityPoint Clinic Surgery office in Fort Dodge. Patients may also contact Dakota Vascular directly and will be connected with the appropriate scheduling team to assist with appointment coordination.
This process ensures a consistent and organized patient experience while maintaining clear communication between care teams.
Looking ahead
As vascular care needs continue to grow, Dakota Vascular remains focused on expanding access in ways that support patients and the communities they serve. This new outreach is one step in a broader effort to make specialized care more accessible, convenient, and connected.
