Community Hospital Invites McCook to Pink Out Rodeo for Cancer Awareness

Community Hospital is inviting area residents to wear pink and show their support for cancer awareness during the Pink Out Rodeo at the Red Willow County Fair on Saturday, July 25, beginning at 6 p.m. Community Hospital’s Cancer Awareness Committee has identified the Pink Out Rodeo as one of its community outreach events for 2026.

Members of the Community Hospital Cancer Awareness Team will be stationed at the rodeo gate handing out giveaways and information while supplies last. The event is designed to bring the community together in support of individuals and families impacted by all cancers while highlighting the importance of awareness, prevention, early detection, and treatment.

“Cancer touches nearly every family in some way,” explains Rachel Loibl, Community Hospital Population Health and Community Outreach Coordinator. “The Pink Out Rodeo is an opportunity for our community to come together, show support for those facing cancer, celebrate survivors, and raise awareness about the cancer care services available close to home.”

Community members can also show their support by purchasing a special Pink Out Rodeo t-shirt designed by McCook Lettering. Shirts are available for pre-order through Sunday, July 13.

To order a shirt, visit the Community Hospital website at https://chmccook.org/services/programs/community-services and click “T-Shirt Orders.”

Community Hospital’s Cancer Center provides comprehensive cancer care services across southwest Nebraska and northwest Kansas, including medical oncology, hematology, infusion therapy, radiation oncology, and supportive care services. At the heart of its mission is ensuring patients have access to high-quality cancer treatment and compassionate support close to home. Through its partnership with the Red Willow County Fair Rodeo Committee, Community Hospital is helping promote cancer awareness and educate the community about the cancer care services available locally.

The public is encouraged to wear pink, attend the rodeo, stop by the Community Hospital booth, and help demonstrate community support for those affected by all cancers.
