Columbus Community Hospital Hosts Harvest for Health, Living Swell Events
Community members of all ages can learn more about healthcare products, services and new offerings in the community at Columbus Community Hospital’s Harvest for Health and Living Swell events on Thursday, Oct. 22 at the Columbus Fieldhouse.
Harvest for Health will take place from 7 a.m.-noon and feature more than 40 area businesses and three speakers.
At the event, Dr. Nikunjkumar Patel, a cardiologist at Columbus Cardiology Clinic, will share information about heart disease in aging adults. Following his presentation, Chris Holt, the director of strength and performance at Columbus Sports Performance Center, will discuss exercises for aging adults. Finally, Dr. Susan Howard, a psychiatrist with Columbus Psychiatry Clinic, will talk about mental health in aging adults.
Columbus Community Hospital will also offer various health screenings and services for free. Attendees can take advantage of free blood pressure, vision, bone mineral density and fasting wellness profile blood draws. Flu shots, Prevnar 20 vaccinations and in-depth health screenings are available at a discounted rate.
The hospital, in partnership with the YMCA, is hosting Living Swell: Live Longer and Stronger, also on Thursday, Oct. 22 from 4-8 p.m. at the Columbus Fieldhouse.
This event gives community members an opportunity to learn about healthcare products, services and new offerings in the community from more than 20 area businesses. All ages are welcome.
