Columbus Community Hospital Psychiatrist Receives National Appointment From The American Psychiatric Association
Each year, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) hosts an annual meeting viewed as the premier psychiatry event of the year. The event brings together mental health professionals from around the country who share a similar mission of improving the lives of their patients.
The APA recently invited Dr. Venkata Kolli, the lead psychiatrist at Columbus Psychiatry Clinic, to participate in its Annual Meeting Scientific Program Committee as a member for the 2024 meeting. The APA selected Kolli because of his unique expertise and dedication to the field of psychiatry.
"We are pleased to have Dr. Kolli as a leading physician in our psychiatry clinic," said Mike Hansen, president and CEO at Columbus Community Hospital. "This appointment speaks highly of Dr. Kolli's commitment to his practice and patients, and our physicians' commitment to personal and professional development."
The Scientific Program Committee is responsible for evaluating abstract submissions for the Annual Meeting and curating the scientific program. This year's event includes 600+ scientific sessions, four plenary sessions and 1,000+ poster presentations. The APA says the committee is instrumental in recommending and assembling key invited speakers and new offerings to produce the meeting's high-caliber educational content.
