Children's Nebraska Named Among Best Children's Hospitals for 2026-2027
U.S. News & World Report has recognized Children's Nebraska in its 2026-2027 Best Children's Hospitals rankings in the specialties of Pediatric Neurology & Neurosurgery, Pediatric Orthopedics and Pediatric Pulmonology & Lung Surgery.
U.S. News rankings assist families, in consultation with their children's clinical teams, in finding exceptional pediatric care – whether for serious illness, high-stake surgery or complex medical needs.
The recognition reflects the collective efforts of teams across Children's who work each day to improve outcomes, experiences and access to care for children and families across the region.

Children's unified Neurosciences department is led by division chief of Neurology Sookyong Koh, MD, PhD, and division chief of Neurosurgery Arnett Klugh III, MD. Children's Orthopedics program is directed by division chief Brian Hasley, MD, and its Pulmonary Medicine program is headed by division chief Casey Burg, MD.
For the 2026-2027 rankings, U.S. News, together with RTI International, a North Carolina-based research firm, collected and analyzed data from 114 children's hospitals and surveyed thousands of pediatric specialists. Children's hospitals awarded a "Best" designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, compliance with established best practices and level and quality of hospital resources directly related to patient care.
