CHI Health Lakeside Introduces the Next Generation of Orthopedic Care
CHI Health is redefining orthopedic care with the grand opening of the CHI Health Orthopedic Center at Lakeside. The nearly 50,000 square-foot center brings advanced diagnostics, surgical care, rehabilitation, specialty services, research and education together under one roof. Designed to support patients at every step of their journey — from diagnosis to recovery.
"This is an exciting time because orthopedic care is entering a period of rapid transformation," said Dr. Ranjan Gupta, Professor and Chair of Orthopedic Surgery at Creighton University and Medical Director of Orthopedic Surgery for CHI Health. "Advances in surgical techniques, biomechanics, biologics, imaging and robotics are changing what's possible for patients. This center was created to bring those innovations together in one coordinated environment focused on delivering exceptional care close to home."
Building upon the extensive orthopedic services CHI Health already provides across the region, the new center is designed to serve as a regional hub for highly specialized care. Services housed within the facility include orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, joint replacement, trauma care, osteoporosis management, wound care and rehabilitation.
The center will also become the clinical home of the Creighton University School of Medicine Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program, further strengthening the partnership between CHI Health and Creighton University and helping train the next generation of orthopedic surgeons.
"The vision is to build a nationally connected orthopedic program capable of elevating orthopedic care throughout the region while delivering an exceptional patient experience," Dr. Gupta said. "Our responsibility extends beyond surgery to include prevention, recovery, rehabilitation and lifelong bone, joint and muscle health."
Join us for a ribbon-cutting and open house on Wednesday, June 24. The ceremony will feature remarks from Mayor John Ewing Jr., physicians, healthcare executives, representatives from Creighton University and other community leaders and include tours of the facility.
