Seventy-Two Years After Having Twins, Grandmother Meets Her Twin Great-Great-Grandbabies at MercyOne North Iowa

A Mason City grandma is feeling double the love after the birth of her twin great, great-great-grandbabies, born 72 years after she gave birth to her twin sons at the same hospital. 

On Sunday, Sherry’s granddaughter welcomed twins Taytum and Teagan into the world, doubling the family’s joy this holiday season. Parents, Bria Ott and Cooper Reason, are from Nora Springs. 

72 years ago, Sherry Zurn left for the hospital, unaware that she was pregnant with twins. To her surprise, Sherry gave birth to sons Gary and Jerry. Sherry will be feeling lots of love and a little déjà vu this holiday season.
