PTSD: Diagnosis, Treatment, and Emerging Therapies

The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) Department of Neurological Sciences is pleased to offer a full-day post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symposium. This activity will feature leading experts in psychiatry, psychology, pharmacology, and neuroimaging, offering in-depth discussions on the latest advancements in PTSD research and treatment. Symposium Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:

  1. Review the prevalence, course, functional consequences, and comorbidities of PTSD.

  3. Describe current evidence-based psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacological treatments, as well as future directions in mental health care.
