“It takes a Village: Provider Partnerships to Support Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children and Their Families”

American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Provider Education Center (PEC) is hosting a program to increase the knowledge, confidence, and capacity of providers to collaborate across EHDI systems to better serve deaf and hard-of-hearing (D/HH) children and their families.

Participants will learn about the 1-3-6 recommendations; the need for hearing screening up to age 3, the benefits of a family-centered medical home, and the importance of communicating accurate, comprehensive, up-to-date, evidence-based information to families to facilitate the decision-making process to enroll in early intervention services.
