The number of deficiencies in the physical-environment condition of participation and the environment-of-care standards has increased recently. This program will review commonly cited life-safety code deficiencies in hospitals, as well as physical-environment and life-safety code deficiencies. The online seminar will also review updates from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, including expectations for ligature-resistant environments, CMS categorical waivers, and concerns regarding surgical suite air pressure and humidity.
