Yankton Medical Clinic Marks 80 Years With Free Community Concert
For 80 years, Yankton Medical Clinic has had the privilege of caring for generations of families throughout southeast South Dakota, northeast Nebraska, and the surrounding region. This summer, the clinic is saying "thank you" to the community in a big way.
Yankton Medical Clinic, in partnership with the City of Yankton Parks & Recreation and Music at the Meridian, invites everyone to a FREE Community Celebration and special Music at the Meridian event on Thursday, August 6, at Riverside Park in Yankton, featuring a special performance by The Crossroad Sound—America's Premier Party Band. Food and beverage vendors will be available throughout the event, making it a perfect summer outing for families, friends, and visitors.
The evening begins at 5:45 p.m. with a Mayor's Proclamation recognizing Yankton Medical Clinic's 80 years of service to the community, followed by The Crossroad Sound taking the stage from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
"This celebration is our way of thanking the communities we have been honored to serve for eight decades," said Brent Adams, MD, President, Board of Directors, Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C. "We wanted to create an event that brings people together, celebrates our region, and provides an unforgettable evening of entertainment for families of all ages."
The Crossroad Sound returns to Yankton after their highly anticipated July 4, 2025, performance was cut short by severe weather. The nationally recognized eight-piece entertainment group is thrilled to return and deliver the full concert experience they couldn’t share last year.

Known for their incredible musicianship, energetic performances, dazzling costumes, and spectacular lighting and stage production, The Crossroad Sound has performed at major festivals, corporate events, fairs, and celebrations across the country. Their high-energy show features favorite hits from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and today—with plenty of iconic 80s music in honor of Yankton Medical Clinic's milestone anniversary.
As Yankton Medical Clinic celebrates 80 years of providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare, the organization reflects on the trust generations of patients have placed in its physicians and staff. What began in 1946 has grown into one of the region's leading multi-specialty medical clinics, yet its mission remains unchanged: providing exceptional healthcare close to home.
