Workplace Safety Training Opportunities Available Through SDAHO

Is your organization doing everything it can to keep staff safe? Strengthen your workplace safety efforts with SDAHO’s comprehensive training resources—designed specifically for health care settings.

In both 2024 and 2025, SDAHO was awarded the South Dakota Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility (FLEX) Grant to support members through targeted training and valuable resources. This ongoing funding enables SDAHO to gather member feedback, deliver in-person training to Critical Access Hospitals, and provide accessible tools and guidance to all members.

SDAHO members have access to a variety of webinar recordings designed to build awareness and improve response strategies, including:

  • Escalation Awareness

  • Mitigation Strategies

  • Reducing Point of Care Violence

  • Defusing Angry Patients at your Front Desk

  • Active Shooter Prevention and Response Program for Healthcare

  • Workplace Safety Facility Risk Assessment | member exclusive resource

  • Workplace Safety in Healthcare – Interactive Case Studies and Effective Response Strategies

  • Workplace Safety Workshop | member exclusive

Whether you’re looking to enhance staff preparedness, reduce risk, or build a stronger culture of safety, these resources are ready when you are.

Access is simple—just log in or create an account through the SDAHO member portal. Resources marked “member exclusive” are available only to SDAHO members.
