UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Welcomes New Cardiologist to the Siouxland

UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s is excited to announce Brenda Nyatanga, MD, is joining the team of cardiologists. Dr. Nyatanga will offer cardiology services at two locations in Sioux City.
“I became a cardiologist because I experienced firsthand how critical heart health is to families,” said Dr. Nyatanga. “I’m committed to early detection, prevention and delivering compassionate care that helps patients feel informed and supported.”
Dr. Nyatanga treats a variety of patients with conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, coronary artery disease and arrhythmias, as well as those focused on preventive care due to family history or lifestyle risks. Her approach is known to be meticulous and empathetic, fostering strong provider–patient relationships built on trust and collaboration.
She joined UnityPoint Health because of its mission-driven focus and welcoming team. “The values of UnityPoint Health align closely with mine and I saw a true opportunity to make a difference in the Siouxland community,” she said.
