UnityPoint Health – John Stoddard Cancer Center Earns Commission on Cancer Reaccreditation

UnityPoint Health® – John Stoddard Cancer Center has received a three-year  accreditation under the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Commission on Cancer (CoC) program. Stoddard Cancer Center has maintained Commission on Cancer accreditation since  1979.  

“I am incredibly proud of the team at UnityPoint Health – John Stoddard Cancer Center for  achieving this reaccreditation,” said Jon Rozenfeld, UnityPoint Health – Des Moines president.  “This accreditation reflects more than four decades of dedication to providing high-quality,  patient-centered care. It’s a testament to our team’s unwavering commitment to ensuring  patients in central Iowa have access to comprehensive cancer treatment and support close to  home.” 

During the survey process, Stoddard Cancer Center had to show the center’s commitment to  providing high-quality cancer care by demonstrate compliance with CoC standards. The  standards supply the structure for providing all patients with a full range of diagnostic, treatment  and supportive services either on site or by referral, including community-based resources.
