CHI St. Alexius Health is pleased to welcome Nneka Ugwu, MD, neonatology, and Nicole Nordstrom, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, neurosurgery, to its care teams in Bismarck.

Nneka Ugwu, MD, received her medical degree from University of Nigeria, Nsukka - Enugu State, Nigeria, and completed her residency in pediatrics from Woodhull Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Ugwu completed her fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine from St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Ugwu is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and has special interests in neonatal infectious diseases and long-term neurological outcomes in preterm infants.

Nicole Nordstrom, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from MedCenter One/Sanford Health College of Nursing, Bismarck, ND, and a doctorate of nursing practice from University of Mary, Bismarck, ND. She is board certified from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Nicole’s professional interests include the treatment of degenerative spine disorders, acute and chronic neurological disorders, as well as management and care following neurosurgical procedures.
