Tierra Ohmann Named Nursing Director at The Neighborhoods at Brookview

Tierra Ohmann, RN, was recently hired as nursing director at The Neighborhoods at Brookview skilled nursing facility. 

As nursing director at The Neighborhoods nursing home, Ohmann provides clinical leadership to the organization. She is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and facilitating the clinical aspects of each household to ensure regulatory compliance and nurture a culture of person-centered, resident-directed care. She also establishes clinical policies and procedures that ensure safe nursing care and assures that residents’ rights and responsibilities are honored and met.

Ohmann has 15 years of long-term care experience and started as a certified nursing assistant (CNA). She worked at The Neighborhoods while attending nursing school at South Dakota State and after graduating the nursing program with her bachelor’s in 2015. Her experience includes three years serving as the director of nursing at Riverview Healthcare in Flandreau. She also has experience in Minimum Data Set (MDS), the clinical assessment tool used in all Medicare and Medicaid-certified nursing homes, and is MDS certified in Minnesota.
