Thursday, July 30, is Miracle Treat Day, where local Dairy Queen locations give you a chance to satisfy that sugar rush and help children in need at the same time. Area Dairy Queen and DQ Grill and Chill locations are bringing health and hope to kids for Miracle Treat Day® at Sanford Children’s through Children’s Miracle Network. Participating locations are coming together to benefit kids’ health by donating $1 or more of the proceeds from the day’s Blizzard® sales to Children’s Miracle Network benefiting Sanford Children’s in Fargo.

The 12th annual Miracle Maker Radiothon, presented by Hugo’s Family Marketplace, takes place March 2 and 3 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Radio stations The Fox (96.1 FM) and XL93 (92.9 FM) are joining forces to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Fargo. Last year, over $50,000 was raised during the 24-hour broadcast.

Sanford Children’s Hospital is partnering with Fresh Start Surgical Gifts to host free informational sessions in Sioux Falls. Fresh Start, a San Diego-based nonprofit, offers reconstructive surgeries to qualifying children who are underinsured or unable to afford their deductible or copay. This is at no cost to the families. During these informational events in Sioux Falls, families will learn about the surgical charity program and its criteria.
