Langat has taken what he learned and ran with it - both literally and figuratively. Not only is he better equipped to help clients at the non-profit mental health facility where he works, but he has also helped launch meaningful community efforts like the 437 Project, a 437-mile run across the state for suicide prevention.
Health Sciences Professor, Alumnus Participate In 437 Project For Suicide Awareness
A group of 12 runners, including a USD assistant professor of occupational therapy and an alumnus, will participate in a fundraising run across the State of South Dakota later this month to support mental health, specifically, suicide prevention.
