Summer Ellingson Begins Practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Essentia Health–32nd Avenue Clinic

Summer Ellingson, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner, is excited to join the Essentia Health-32nd Avenue Clinic to practice obstetrics and gynecology.

“I chose to continue my career with Essentia Health as an OB/GYN nurse practitioner because Essentia has felt like home to me for many years,” explained Ellingson. “As a registered nurse, I’ve experienced firsthand the supportive, team-based environment and the high standard of care that Essentia provides. Transitioning into my NP role felt like a natural next step in a place where I already feel deeply connected and valued.”

Ellingson received her education from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, and she is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

“I’m passionate about providing comprehensive, preventive care that supports women throughout all stages of life,” said Ellingson. “Additionally, I value the role this specialty plays in advocating for women’s overall well-being. Being a trusted resource and helping patients feel empowered and informed in their health care decisions is something I take great pride in.”
